Founded in 1859 by the American Dental Association is the oldest and largest national dental society in the world. Since then, ADA has grown to become the main source of information on oral health related to dental professionals and their patients. Participation and governance
There are over 157,000 members from all 50 states ADA, the District of Columbia and Puerto Riko.ADA is a member driven organization governed by a Board of Trustees and elected 473-member House of Delegates.
ADA works to promote dentistry at the national, state and local levels. Membership in the national organization includes membership in one of our 53 constituent (state) and 545 component (local) dental societies.
